Jess Hardin* has over 40 years experience in the application of crushed carbide to down hole fishing tools. His standout career has included stints with Hunt Tool Company, Wilson Downhole, Baker Tools, Donham Oil Tool, Tri-State and Weatherford International in Alaska, Wyoming and Texas.

As one of the industry’s most highly qualified carbide applicators, Jess most recently, 12 1/2 years as Weatherford International’s domestic and international carbide application trainer. He is a certified OPITO assessor and was charged with training, auditing and certifying Weatherford’s welders and welding shops globally.

Services include three levels of carbide application training, auditing of welders and welding shops, and consulting on shop procedures and standards for the application of crushed carbide and carbide inserts.
